COACH TROSKY FOUNDER

Nate Trosky owner and founder of Trosky Baseball, is employed by the Milwaukee, New Balance Area Code Baseball, Pro Baseball / BTS and serves as a private consultant for the German National team. He has served as a baseball clinician for numerous West-Coast colleges and universities (i.e. Stanford, USC, Cal Poly Slo, USF, USB, SCU, Sonoma State, Cal State Monterey Bay, and others).

His coaching endeavors have taken him around the world to South Africa, Japan, Dominican Republic, China, Mexico, Hawaii, Germany, Italy, Belgium, Croatia, and the Czech Republic. Coach Trosky has coached in Europe professionally winning a National Championship and was named German coach of the year. He has coached with the South African, Croatian, and German National teams. Coach Trosky has been an assistant coach in 3 North American minor leagues (Northern, Western and North-East).

At Hawaii Pacific University he received All-American, Mr. Hustle and Scholar Athlete awards. Coach Trosky holds a Masters Degree in Christian Leadership, Youth Family Development.

• Nate Trosky is a professional baseball scout, coach, and entrepreneur. He serves as a private consultant for the German National team, speaks at major baseball events and conventions around the world, and serves as a baseball clinician at various colleges and universities (i.e. Stanford, University of Southern California, Cal Poly, Santa Clara, Westmont, University of San Francisco, Sonoma State, CSU Monterey Bay, and San Diego State). He works for Area Code Baseball and has served as the New Balance Area Code Camp Director and USA Baseball/ BTS Camp Clinician.
• As a coach, Trosky has had the privilege to work with first round draft picks, including some of the world’s best players (i.e. Christian Yelich, Nolan Arenado, Joc Pederson, Giancarlo Stanton, Mike Moustakas, Hunter Green, and Royce Lewis). He has served as the head baseball coach of Monterey Peninsula College, worked with the German, Croatian, and South African National Teams, and coaches professionally in Europe and with several Minor League teams. In Germany, Trosky won a National Championship and was named German Coach of the Year.
• He began Trosky Baseball to train players and run college and professional showcase events. Through Trosky camps, prospect events, clinics, and Trosky teams, Trosky Baseball has contributed to over 5,000 players in the college and professional baseball circuit.
• His baseball endeavors have taken him around the world to coach in South Africa, Japan, China Dominican Republic, Mexico, Hawaii, Germany, Italy, Belgium, Holland, Croatia, and the Czech Republic.

Adam played high school ball for Saratoga High School, earning both Pitcher of the Year and Most Valuable Player awards in 2000. He then attended Mission Junior College, where he led the team in wins, ERA, and strikeouts during his two years. He attended NAIA powerhouse Oklahoma City University on an athletic/academic scholarship, graduating in 2005. During his two years at OCU, the team posted a 140-19 record. In 2004, Adam was a member of OCU’s National All-Academic team, which finished #2 in NAIA national rankings. The 2004 team also set the college baseball record for wins in a season, 73 (all levels of collegiate baseball). In 2005, Adam led the team in saves as OCU won the NAIA National Championship. Also in 2005, Adam signed a professional contract with the Richmond Roosters of the Frontier League, where he finished with a 7-2 record. Since then, Adam has coached numerous teams in California and Oklahoma, and provided personal coaching to hundreds of players who went on to college and professional baseball (including three 1st Rd. draft picks). Coach Vart was also the varsity Head Coach at Saratoga High School from 2011-2016. In his six years, he has produced a .600 win percentage and made four trips to the CCS playoffs. His SHS teams played for the league championship three of his last four years, winning the school’s first De Anza League Championship in school history in 2013 and repeating as champions in 2014.  Currently, Coach Vart is the Head Assistant Coach and Pitching Coach at Valley Christian High School.  With a history of winning and a track record of success at all levels Adam has been a main reason behind the success with Kali and Trosky Baseball travel teams.

COACH AVILES

Head Coach San Benito High School. Coach Aviles is the winning-est coach in school history and has placed numerous players in NCAA DI and the professional baseball. Coach Aviles played both college and professionally.

COACH RUIZ

Gil Ruiz attended Hartnell JC and played in the JC state championships. He then transferred to San Francisco State. Following his college career at SFSU, Coach Ruiz started coaching HS baseball at Alisal, winning the league title in 1995. He then joined the Hartnell coaching staff. In 2007 he was named the Head Coach at Pacific Grove HS. As the head coach, coach Ruiz has won 3 league titles, had 3 CCS D3 final four finishes, won 2 CCS D3 Championships, and 1 D4 State championship (n 2013, finishing the season with a 31-0 record. Coach Ruiz was named California and CCS HS Baseball Coach of the year 2013.

Since 1996, Coach Ruiz has been coaching summer elite teams with Aldrete Baseball Academy, Nor Cal Baseball, and with Trosky Baseball, coaching 100’s of players to college and pro ball. In 2006, he then won the AAU National Championship. Coach Ruiz has coached with Nate Trosky since 2000 and is Currently the Head Coach of Pacific Grove High School varsity baseball team.

COACH SANGUINETTI

Tony is from San Jose, California. He attended and played baseball at Valley Christian High School under Head Coach John Diatte. During his time at VCHS, Tony won a CCS Division II Championship while being voted an All-League and San Jose Mercury News First Team All-CCS honoree. After starring at VCHS, Tony went on to start his college baseball career at Mission Junior College. His sophomore season, he was selected as both a unanimous 1st Team All-League honoree, as well as earning Junior College All-American Honors. Tony later transferred to play at NAIA powerhouse Oklahoma City University in 2003. While at OCU, he was a 2-time All-Conference selection (2003, 2004) and earned NAIA All-American Honors in 2004. He went on to play professional baseball from 2004-2006 with the Seattle, Richmond Roosters (Frontier League) and the San Angelo Colts (United League), where he was named an All-Star. His individual baseball accomplishments speak for themselves. Tony’s passion for baseball and working with youth athletes prompted him to open South Bay Sports Training in 2007. Since opening South Bay Sports Training, Tony’s impacted thousands of youth baseball and softball players with his unique coaching style and enthusiasm for the game.  As owner of SBST, Tony takes special pride in helping put together one of the best and most qualified coaching staffs in California.

COACH ZINSMAN

Zeph is a native of San Jose and attended Archbishop Mitty High School, where he led them to a 1997 CCS title, sharing Co-CCS player of the year honors w/ Xavier Nady. He then went on to Mission College where he won the State Big Stick Award and named California Junior College Player of the Year. During his time at Mission he was drafted by the Seattle in the 23rd round but chose to take a scholarship to play at the national Div. I powerhouse, Louisiana State University. While at LSU, his Tiger’s team went on to host a Regional tournament, eventually losing to Tulane University in the Super Regional. After finishing with 16 homeruns for LSU, he transferred to Lewis-Clark State University in 2002, where he won an NAIA National Championship and was drafted in the 25th round by the Toronto. After several season in professional baseball Zeph has gone to coach high school baseball as both an assistant and head coach (Saratoga, Mountain View, Archbishop Mitty, and Valley Christian HS). South Bay Sports Training and Kali-Trosky Baseball is proud to have Zeph as a coach and instructor for our high school and prospect players.

RYAN MOORE

Ryan Moore has worked in corporate administration, marketing, and operations activities for many years. He has served administrative and marketing functions for Trosky Baseball since 2002. In January 2014, he was named Executive Director of the Hal Trosky Memorial Foundation. He holds a B.S. in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing, California State University, Monterey Bay.
